Summary: This is a most beautiful and tranquil hideaway that invites you in so you never want to leave. In the first hour of our arrival a herd of elephants with some babies came to drink, just metres away. Hardus and his team offered impeccable service. Wonderful meals every day, with every wish catered for. The highlight, by far, was the game drives early morning and late afternoon. Hardus is an exceptionally knowledgeable and competent guide, and full of passion for the animals and the environment. We experienced incredible sightings, from lion to elephants at play, to almost everything else. It’s very beautiful and interesting terrain, with a marvellous riverside experience included. Our early morning coffee outside the vehicle on the river bank, watching the hippos and the sunrise, were memorable. It doesn’t get better than this!

Summary: Unique stay in a private reserve where you can really absorb nature and get closer than ever. We stayed 3 nights south Kruger then 3 nights here and this blew our other experience out the water. Hardus the Braai master thank you so much for making it the trip of a lifetime. We will always remember this as the spark that lighted our love for the African safari. The place itself is really clean and really in the thick of it. From our balcony we saw elephants, giraffes and heared lions roar. Unforgettable. The food is incredible too all freshly made. The game drives were also unreal. Not only for the big game but the small parts of nature you usually dont stop to see! Chameleons spiders lizards snakes etc. Not a guarantee but we saw it all!

Summary: What a wonderful find. Its like your own bit of paradise in the African bush. Muweti is an intimate holiday destination, only hosting six guests at a time. The location, venue and food is second to none. Whilst at first glance it may appear above budget, compare this to what you get and you will find it is worth every penny and it is an experience you will not regret. Thank you Hardus, Sam and all the staff working behind the scenes for making our visit memorable.

Summary: Came as Guests, Left as Friends! We just returned from a wonderful 4-night stay at Muweti. My husband and I visited a different reserve abutting Kruger a year ago and loved it so much that we brought our two adult daughters along this year to expereince the beauty of the bush for themselves. Visiting this area two years in a row gave us a unique perspective on a lot of things but particularly on how special the experience of staying at a small lodge is. If you don’t have time to read this full review, I’ll just say that a stay at Muweti will be one of the best travel decisions you make. A lot of people book a game lodge with one thing in mind, animals. But game drives are just one part of the overall Muweti experience that includes sharing incredibily well-prepared meals with people from other parts of the world, enjoying a glass of wine sitting around the fire, falling asleep to the sound of Jackals calling to eachother, and witnessing the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets in the world. Having said that, our amazing guides, Hardus, Lynette and Mike took us on the most exhilerating drives and taught us so much about cultural tradtions, the vegitation, the environment, impacts of human/animal conflict, honestly, we learned as much in 4 days as we would in an entire semester of a university class. And yes, we saw so many animals, too many to list but lions, leopard, and elephants were among them! I think it’s worth noting as well that the beauty of Muweti lies in its se

Summary: Muweti was just a wonderful stay! Great communication with Mike before the stay, and Hardus and Lynette were very hospitable and took us out for awesome game drives, sharing their knowledge about the different animals. We stayed in the self-catering cottage and were lucky to have elephants walk past it one of the afternoons, and even spot a leopard during the game drive in the Muweti premises. Coming from KNP Muweti felt like such a luxury with clean beds, large and spacious cottage and well equipped self-catering facilities in the cottage. Had a blast trying out Braai with the wood ourselves. Will be recommending that friends go visit!
